Q: Is this a direct replacement for metal halide bulbs or do you need to bypass the ballast and capacitor ? A: This is a metal halide replacement with an internal driver. The ballast in the fixture MUST be bypassed prior to installing this bulb. Q: Is the light brighter or last longer at 110v or 220v? A: It's the same at 110V and 220V.Please note . Q: Is this bulb dimmable? A: No, it isn't dimmable Q: Does this operate on existing mh ballast ? A: Light requires no ballast. Is just led bulb with medium base or mogul base.
